Everyone says it's important to be your full self on a first date, but let's be honest: some people should absolutely not follow that advice. Their full selves are far too bizarre, ridiculous, and outlandish for any stranger to encounter without a serious advanced warning. I suppose showing all those true colors is good for the other person to make an immediate judgment, and in all of these cases, that immediate judgment was a hard no.

 

Personally, I have never had a date that went so poorly I chose to walk out in the moment (and thankfully, no one has ever done that to me either). That being said, if I could go back to my younger self, I would have been way more vigilant about the glaring red flags that were waving right in front of me. But people are blindly hopeful when they first enter the overly romanticized dating scene. We have cheesy romantic comedies to thank for that. Just think about how much time we could all save if it were socially acceptable to just dip out right then and there.

    Font - The worst part is, his aunt was our neighbor, my mom knew his mom and were good friends, and the next day, on my way out she literally had the audacity to ask "how did it all went" (I am pretty sure she heard him screaming awful things since literally, their house is like 10m from mine, across the street, literally) and I told her just "you should have raised him better".
