Ring ring, it's petty revenge calling! There's nothing more satisfying at work then when you get away with the perfect revenge plot against an awful toxic manager/boss. It's not easy to pull off, but every now and then the planets align and everything works out perfectly.
This short and sweet story is one of the most satisfying and perfect examples of work revenge. The Reddit poster worked at a company where the employees used in-house work cellphones. One day they came to work and couldn't find their work phone. They relayed this to their manger in the hopes they would help them or have some sort of solution. But instead their manager blew up at them. They were completely unfairly reprimanded for a total accident.
Luckily, OP found their phone later that day. But instead of relaying this information to their manager, they decided to keep it to themselves. Several days later and the manager was still being rude to them and hinting at getting them fired for the lost phone incident. They had a hue meeting coming up with 40 big bosses and coworkers and OP had a hunch their manager was going to mention the phone.
And low and behold, the toxic manager got up and went on a half hour rant about how OP lost their phone and should be punished immediately and bla bla bla. When she was done with the rant, OP just stood up, pulled out their work phone, and acted completely confused. "What? I've had my phone this entire time…" They made sure to look around at everyone like, "is she ok?…"
That manager never messed with them again. What a satisfying work revenge story!
