Font - Woman Cut Hundreds in Airport Security Line A woman bowed under a rope and stepped in front of me about halfway through a 45 minute security line at the airport. I was a little confused so I asked her "did you just cut me?" She confirmed that yes, she had meant to cut the line. She said "I'm in a hurry" which is dumb because we all are.

Font - I asked her what was so important, which is when she said the most irritating thing: "I don't need to explain myself to you. Try walking a mile in someone's shoes."

Smile - ...? I had a bad day but, unlike you, bothered to plan ahead. We are all in a rush and you have no idea how anyone else's day was.
  • 05
Font - I asked her why she would disrespect all the people behind her and told her multiple times to go to the back of the line. We were in the middle of a bunch of people in windy rows so calling security would have been a huge hassle but I almost wish I had done it. I ended up just passing her and encouraging people behind me to do the same.

Font - I had to hold back so strong not to call her garbage. What the is wrong with you? Either I have to call security, which wastes people time, or I have to let you stay in line and, again, waste people's time. It's a lose-lose deal for everyone except her.

Font - It seems like a small thing but it's a tiny microcosm of everything that is irritating about society. "I deserve my time more than you and I don't even have to understand why"

Font - Well, lady You're trash I hope you missed your flight and it was an important one

Font - Edit: to people saying I should have called security. It would have been an even bigger disturbance to pull the ID checker away from their job and walk around to track her down. Trust me if there had been a TSA guy within sight when she cut I would have said something but I'm pretty sure it would have been a waste of time to get security. That's my issue with the situation: she wasted everyone's time and the only way to solve it would have been to waste more time. I think stepping by her

Font - bhlombardy edited 4 days ago . 4 days ago. Almost a year ago, I was at Costco waiting in line at the Tire Center. For perspective, at this particular Costco you wait just at the threshold of the Tire Center entrance until an attendant calls you to the counter to avoid a large clutter inside. The line to be served forms here.

Font - I was the first (next) person in line, waiting patiently for those currently being served to finish up... My appointment was at 3pm, and it was about 2:55. I had already been there about 5 minutes. The online appointment scheduler advises you to arrive 10 minutes early, for this very reason, which I was. There were two other people behind me waiting as well.

Font - Some woman comes up from the left (the store entrance) and walks up and stands adjacent to me almost with a sense of urgency.... like she's planning on going next. I knew what her game was, so I turned to her and said "Just so you're aware, there's a line forming behind me" and I point in the direction behind me. She says "oh, but I'm late for my appointment"

Font - I said "I'm sorry, but that's too bad. We were all here before you." "Yea," she says, "but my appointment was for 15 minutes ago"
  • 14
Font - I repeated (slightly louder for those in line to hear)... "That's too bad. My appointment is for right now so, I'm on time... You're not going to make me and everyone else late just because YOU were late. Get to the back of the line." "But I have to be somewhere...." She said

Font - "Well then either go there... get to the back of the line... or leave. We're ALL waiting our turn." -- I said with now a raised voice so that now the Tire Center attendants could hear. (I wanted them to be somewhat aware that she was trying to cut the line, so they would call the proper "next" people in sequence.)

Font - That seemed to do the trick, because now that people were looking at her, she got embarrassed and left. I despise people that jump lines. It's a sense of self-importance that I have no patience for. 3.6k Reply Share

Font - zanofficial OP. 4 days ago That was what really annoyed me. I'm a very understanding person but if there's nothing to understand then I can't really sympathize. 825 Reply Share

Font - Lemon Flavoured Things. 4 days ago One of my favourite unethical airport hacks is to dress like a stupid dealer. It helps that I'm heavily tattooed, but I throw on some flashy nice shoes, big dark glasses, etc. I always get pulled for a "randomly selected search", where they find nothing. In Canada, they let you skip the line after 419 Reply Share

Font - domjonas 4 days ago I hate line cutters. People were waiting longer than you. Either wait your turn or return when you have extra time. As for the airport, they say get there 2 hours early. People without precheck want to get there 20 minutes before and expect smooth sailing even with precheck getting there around an hour helps so you're not full speed running for the plane. Hopefully she had a long walk to her gate. 329 Reply Share
