So, you finally landed a job—congrats! You've done a few days of training already and now you're ready to get into the nitty gritty of it. But, oh wait, what's this? You aren't on the schedule… You ask again and again when you're working, and nothing. Then they slap you with the "not on the schedule for multiple weeks."
Unfortunately, this is all too familiar a situation in careers like customer service and retail. One retail employee recently took to Reddit in the midst of confusion when she wasn't put on the schedule. She had only been working there for three days when she started to think she was already getting passively fired. She kept asking when she was going to be scheduled, since the manager said she makes the schedule three weeks in advance. But week-of the manager sent her a text saying she was "unable" to schedule her this week… So wth??
OP turns to Reddit to decipher the cryptic text, wondering if she was being passively fired, and most of Reddit says even if she weren't, the way this manager is behaving, she should not walk, but RUN out of there. Would you quit?
