Listen, we all need to sit and rot sometimes. That sense of fulfilment we get from being productive can wait when there's the more pressing matter of not leaving bed to attend to. While there is such a thing as wasting the day away, if we keep it to a minimum it can actually be beneficial (or so we tell ourselves). See, sometimes a life that is full of meetings and chores and activities isn't actually any more fulfilling than one that isn't, it's just louder in the way that it fills the void. There's still nothingness underneath it all!

With that cheerful thought in mind, we can feel less guilty about how often we relax with memes. They may be pointless, but so are many other things that we attach value to. Everything is a matter of perspective, even when it comes to internet humor. We must never forget that.
