    (20) worked at [undisclosed drugstore that starts with a W] for a month. I worked at the registers in the pharmacy. The first two weeks that I "worked" there, they told me to come in multiple times,

and then immediately sent me home because the manager couldn't figure out how to put me in the computer system. So, it wasn't off to a great start. But I didn't mind the job in general.

Then, one day, I got in trouble for going to the bathroom when I wasn't on my break. Mind you, I was in the bathroom for 3ish minutes, 5 absolute tops. I wasn't just farting around in there for half an hour. I've worked in fast food/retail for years I've for going haven't gotten to the bathroom before.

I stayed at that job for another hour. Then, I clocked out for my lunch, I went home, and I never returned. Quite bold for a store that is severely understaffed already. Genuinely who do they expect to put up with that for mere pennies?

RDJ1000 10 hr. ago Depending on your state they may owe you a couple of hours of pay for every time they had you show up and then immediately sent you home. You might look into your state's labor laws and file a wage claim.

Brilliant Various5995. 4 hr. ago Yeah, in my state they have to pay you for two hours, regardless of how long you were there under two hours.

LocalLiBEARian · 5 hr. ago You mean nobody showed you where they keep the company catheters? They're right next to the sticks that seem to be permanently shoved up the managers' backsides. /s

JustanOldBabyBoomer. 7 hr. ago I don't blame you for walking out!!!! I have medical issues that REQUIRE bathroom breaks when my body says GO! The boss doesn't like that? He can screw himself!

PrimeScreamer 4 hr. ago ● Yeah they won't let you leave at Walmart. You must wait until the CSM decides its slow enough for you to go or they find someone to cover you.

Then they'll itch that you didnt go on your break. Total bulls it is what that is. When my bladder decides it's time, it's time. I will be going home to change clothes if you don't let me go.

Greenmanssky. 7 hr. ago Doesn't matter. Employers are required to let employees use the bathroom at any time. We're not legally bound to hold our iss in at work for minimum wage. If they were worried about the register they should have stood in front of it for 5 minutes themselves.

BlameTag 58 min. ago ● I admire you for sticking around until your lunch break. You'd have been justified walking out then and there.
