While family bonds are meant to be sources of support and love, the real-life dynamics between people and their in-laws aren't always a walk in the park. Whether it's differences in values, traditions, or expectations - managing a relationship with your own family can be challenging enough, but with marriage, you also inherit an additional set of parents to deal with.
It's no secret that parents-in-law oftentimes don't know the concept of boundaries. Balancing closeness with a respectful distance is just not something they're familiar with. And so, clashes in expectations are inevitable. That brings us to today's story. A woman turned to Reddit to vent about her MIL. Not only was the MIL caught talking smack behind her daughter-in-law's back, but she also pulled a 180 and completely accused her of snooping.
