There's comfort in knowing you're not alone in your struggles. We as the social human beings that we are, can get lost in isolation, which is why when we're feeling down or stuck in the muck, we like to commiserate a little bit. But when you're down on your luck in the workplace, after a meeting, or when you're just sitting in your cubicle, how do you find solace in others in your same situation? Well, there's one place that I know for certain where commiseration is almost a requirement: Reddit.

Recently on a popular Reddit community, a working man just like you and me was found lamenting over 'the job that never was'. We've all heard stories of bosses making lofty promisees and never following through, but in u/Now-Thats-Podracing's case, his dirtbag boss really takes the cake. After weeks of being groomed for an amazing position with a huge raise, OP was decidely excited about the new life that awaited him– until of course, it no longer suited his boss that he take the job.
