The Cringiest Parenting Posts of the Week (December 4, 2023)

I am obsessed with TV shows about cringe parents. I have rewatched Dance Moms more than any person ever should watch Dance Moms because I am addicted to being in pain. For those of you who are blissfully ignorant, Dance Moms is a reality show about mothers and daughters dealing with their evil dance teacher, Abby Lee Miller. The show is set up to make you hate the stage moms, but after years of watching, I've realized that the real enemies are Abby and the producers. Abby will literally scream into children's faces if they mess up a dance, all while it's being recorded and broadcast to millions of households across the country. Most of the moms wanted to leave the show, but their ironclad contracts kept them stuck in reality TV hell for years. Those Lifetime contracts were "threatening to take your house if you leave" ironclad. If you similarly love looking at parents who are worse than you are, these cringe parenting posts might be just as fun as a 44-minute episode of Dance Moms.

    Spook ✓ Moms 71 Saw this on our nature walk and wondered if it was an offering of some kind? I left everything as it was, except we blew the candles out bc it didn't sit right with me to leave them burning. There are whole eggs, 2 bunches of bananas, 3 candles and 3 glasses of wine(?), as well as 2 bottles of water, 2 bowls with what looked like mashed yams?     It wasn't yours to mess with. I understand why you done that BUT I'd be concerned if anything followed you because of it. It looks like an offering or altar.     asa I have a bee in my bonnet about something and just need to vent. My kids have been sick all week so I reached out to the teachers to get the make up work.     parents so intentionally sidelined?!? I don't need to be thanked for looking over my kids educational needs! If my kid wants to play sports I hate having to go to a doctor we never see to pay money to get a cya note so the school can rest assured that the kid is well.
