‘Is it actually just an inconvenience?’: Bride trying to plan stress-free wedding for her guests books it during a long holiday weekend, guests complain

Planning a wedding can be very stressful. You know what else can be very stressful? Planning something for a holiday break… So why would you combine the two? Well, this bride thought she would bear the burden of both wedding planning and holiday stress to make it more stress-free for her guests. It turns out, however, that it made it worse. She figured that everyone would love that extra day off they get from work to party or recover from her wedding and not lose any PTO days. What she didn't think of is how expensive traveling is during holidays, or how expensive lodging cost during holiday breaks, and, well, basically how extra expensive everything gets during holidays. Plus, sometimes people plan their holiday breaks out months in advance. And now they have to toss their plans they've had for so long out because of your wedding?

And yet, there are some people how do prefer holiday break weddings. Turns out it's a new your crowd kind of thing. How do you feel about holiday weddings? For me, I wouldn't care if it were on Labor day or something like that, but for Halloween or Christmas?? That would be too much. But then again, weddings are fun! I'm torn…
