There's nothing more exciting than hearing what new parents have named their little one. When you really think about it, you're giving a birth name to your baby for their entire lifetime. It's kind of a lot of responsibility. It's definitely too much responsibility for most of the population. No wonder so many people look into changing their name when they turn 18, sorry parents. I've had my favorite baby names on a list in my phone for the past decade and if it sounds a little neurotic, you're probably right. Parents can give their kids whatever names they want, but let's be honest, sometimes you've got to wonder what they were thinking. 

The oldie names like Ruth, Gertrude, Beatrix and Millie are coming back into popularity and I am here for it. I'm even into some of the way-to-cool for my future children names like Aspen and Zion. I haven't gotten to the critical point in life where I've needed to name a baby yet, but I'm pretty pleased with my choices for pets throughout the years, especially Marshmallow the hamster and Bubba the goldfish.
