Greetings! Once again, it's time to consider a summary of the most seismic and silly things to dominate the online conversation this week. It seems that trickery and wild tales are having a moment, so let's not waste any time getting into it.

Why TF Did I Watch All That

Telling stories has become one of the most integral parts of TikTok in recent times, but something viral will rarely have the length and ambition of the several-hour-long quasi-audiobook that one creator managed to get everybody talking about.

In what should be the epitome of I'm happy for you or I'm sorry that happened, TikToker Reesa Teesa defied the odds to get millions hooked on her fifty-part tale of one man's lies, deceit, and tomfoolery. The series Who TF Did I Marry?? chronicles Teesa's relationship with a man who failed to be faithful to pretty much every marital vow. If you want the details, you'll have to watch—with this much popularity, surely the Lifetime TV movie will be here soon.

Deadbeats Strike Again

The most irresistible kind of online phenomenon is that which seems like the internet gods just picked a handful of random topics out of a hat that day and somehow threw them together in a consistent narrative. Up this week were ‘break dancing’, ‘parental abandonment’, and ‘Elon Musk’, and boy, was it a wild ride.

It began when screenwriter Madi Hart shared a story of how her father Ben had abandoned her, her mom, and her siblings to become a break dancer which led to him gaining D-list celebrity status thanks to the age he began competing. One spell of TikTok virality later, and the man himself felt compelled to release a reply video in which he disputed some of the claims that Madi had made, along with an obligatory dance break.

Some viewers were fully on his side, including the patron saint of annoying divorced dads himself, one Mr. Elon Musk. However, others were horrified at his lack of remorse and Madi made clear that the dude whose stage name is B-boy Benihana was not telling the entire truth, either.

Bella Poarch, Eat Your Heart Out

When TikTokers haven't been watching an hours-long odyssey of one woman and her suspect husband, they've had their attentions focused on dessert. A singular bowl of chocolate strawberries, to be exact, showcased with some swaying camerawork and soundtracked by Bobby Caldwell's What You Won't Do For Love. This strangely addictive clip has racked up over one hundred million views for reasons that most can't put their finger on, but they are still pleased about it.

Currently standing at 23 million + likes, some viewers are holding out hope that it will topple the record of influencer Bella Poarch's 2020 M to the B lip sync, which has over 63 million. It remains to be seen whether it will be successful, but whatever the outcome, at least we all got to share this beautiful and confusing moment together.

I, Robot

As if being at the center of the spectacle of celebrity wasn't corrosive enough already, AI has quickly given famous people yet another thing to be neurotic about. Advancements in photo and video-generating technology allow fans to do all kinds of things with them.

In the case of Will Smith, one of his most prominent memes aside from the Oscars slap has been AI generated video of his likeness eating spaghetti. Apparently, he was in on the joke, as he recently released a prank video of him eating noodles in real life and claiming that it was the product of artificial intelligence. The way things are going, it might not be difficult to fool people.

That is everything we are going to look at for now. Can't wait to see what antics another seven days may bring. See ya!
