'You don't have any change?': Customer asks cashier to pay for part of her order

If you want to receive, you must ask… nicely. That's especially true if the person you're asking a question to happens to work in retail!

The retail workers of the world spend a lot of time helping customers and answering their questions. At lost of jobs, workers quickly realize that customers ask the same two or three questions all day long, like asking where a specific section is, or asking about the same sales. But sometimes customers throw a question at you that you're not expecting. Then there are times like this, when the customer asks a question that not even a manager would know how to answer. Though, to be fair, one of the first things one learns in a retail environment is that people are seriously strange at times. This woman was either an oddball, or just entitled enough to not care at all about the value of money.

    this lady just came in to buy 2 items & the total came out to $5.30. she hands me a $5 and i'm waiting for her to hand me the change & she's just staring at me. I say "do you have the 30 cents?" and she goes "no." ... well, okay the total is still $5.30 so I say again, "I still need the 30 cents..." and she goes "you don't have any change?"

    like ??? why would I, the cashier, just have change to pay the remainder of your balance?? and why would I do that??? The spare change jar on the counter was empty, so I stared at her and said "no?" She ended up having more than enough change in her purse! but ?? why would she just assume I'd pay the rest at first? So weird.

    Scary-Alternative-11. I once had a lady reach into my tip jar right in front of me, pull out 5 $1 bills and try to order a coffee from me with it. I took the money out of her hands and told her to get out and never come back. She tried to say "You make more than enough money, you don't need

    Throwaway728420. Was at a store last month and this dude went up to checkout with like 5 different snacks and told the cashier "I don't have any money". She handled it perfectly, "okay, well I'm not paying for your Guy in front of me decided to pay for some reason.

    the change.... Did she ever flip, she started making an end of the world scene that we were stealing her money. Well the very next day guess who's back for their $4.02 drink? I ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to even start making her drink till I got my pennies.
