No matter how we think about ourselves, most of us are not very good when it comes to dealing with change. A lot of us find it all too easy to get stuck into our various beliefs and routines, even if they seem unorthodox on the outside (and maybe don't even work that well). It's probably some kind of evolutionary trait that we need to keep repeating the same patterns, and it is probably meant to have some benefit to us, too.

Of course, that doesn't mean we can always avoid changing things up now and then. Learning to adjust is important. Memes are not exactly a silver bullet when it comes to getting out of a rut, but they can encourage us out of our comfort zone when we don't know what to expect. A random selection such as this allows us to open our minds in a safe and low-effort way.
