Happy meowrning, cat people! We hope that you have had the loveliest week, that things have been calm and enjoyable and easy, and that you're getting ready for an even better weekend, because it is going to begin right now. It's time to meet the newly adopted faces of the week!
Each and every Friday, we start your day off with a whole new collection of wholesome cat adoption stories. Because we know that for all cat people, starting your day with reading about cats finding their furrever homes is the best way to start the entire weekend with a smile.
Thank you, as always, goes to everyone who has adopted a cat this week! And an especially large thank you goes to those of you who adopted the 'less than prrfect' cats - the ameowzing senior cats, the sick cats and the cats with behavioral issues. The journey you'll have with them may not always be the easiest, but it will still be the best thing you have ever done.

This is my baby, Kilo. In March 2023 I saw on the news and social media that a Sphynx cat had been found living inside of a Mexican prison… When I heard about him, I just knew I should at least try to adopt him… I flew to El Paso the day after I read about him, and met with some officials in Juarez to plead my case. I explained my experience with and love for the breed and even wrote a letter to the President of Chihuahua promising to care for and love him better than anyone else could. And somehow it worked!
When I met him he was absolutely filthy and totally emaciated. He had eye mucus buildup from infection, skin sores, and open wounds on his legs and paws… He bonded with my other cat so well and is warming up every day to my dog. It was a match made in heaven. Apparently I beat out 10,000 other applicants which feels like a sign from above that he was supposed to be a part of my family."
"Our new fur baby arrived yesterday from Dubai! She was found by rescuers dumped by previous pet owners as a 3 month old kitten.
I went to Dubai for a business trip in December and was really heartbroken about the state of stray cats in the city (and even the whole of UAE). I just needed to adopt one. Thankfully a few charities help with the process of relocation including all vet needs, paperwork, and flights. After a month of waiting, Roza finally arrived yesterday along with 17 other cats who found their furever homes in the UK!
She's settling in very well and we are managing slow introductions with our two other cats"
"My mom passed in December and I adopted her black cat, Violet. Previously, she was my sister's cat before my sister passed away. She's hates having her nail trimmed and likes to make biscuits on the softest skin on your body. She's around eight years old."
"here's my newly adopted cat Willow (or Stunna Girl, she has 2 names). I got her 3 days ago and for the first two days she was so scared she would barely let me touch her, then all of a sudden she was purring and cuddling with me. it was so unexpected but now she's so chatty and loving!"
"We recently adopted Marco, he's been with us for about 5 weeks. He's 8 years old and had been with the shelter for a few months. We were told he didn't look for attention, so thought he wouldn't be overly affectionate.
After a few weeks of hiding under the bed in the spare room, some patience and a lot of dreamies, he has really come out of his shell. To our surprise, he is actually really affectionate, always coming for head strokes and nuzzling us, so glad he is part of our family"
