'Your dad is in a better place': TikTokers laugh about boomer family members sending ominous texts about innocuous things

Old people and communications technology are one of the premier comedy duos in the internet age. The general cluelessness that many boomers and older display when it comes to texting and social media can make them even funnier than the most dedicated sh*tposter.

However, dealing with a family member who has a dubious grasp on texting etiquette is not always plain sailing. They can have a habit of getting the wrong message across, as proven by a hilarious TikTok comment section.

In it, people detailed all the times they needlessly feared the worst after family members communicated in a worrying way via their cell phones. There are some great two-sentence tales here, that anybody with a technophobe relative can relate to. It's understandable that grandma isn't going to be knowledgeable about the latest slang, but you might think she would sometimes think twice before pressing send. The elderly really don't give a heck.
