'Never felt patriotism before I saw this': Americans trash UK cooking, restart the international food wars

There are various different topics that the internet never seems to get tired of talking about, and one of these is UK vs. US food. The land of beans on toast is no stranger to the slander of its national cuisine, and much of it comes from across the pond.

The latest blow to have been dealt from Americans to their British frenemies has been a viral video, in which repulsion is shown to meals such as the full English breakfast and jacket potatoes. It wasn't long before proud residents of the U S of A were making more derogatory comments at what they were seeing.

As usual, British people were up in arms about the whole thing and unusually, a few of their American peers actually agreed with them (well, kind of). The United Kingdom will never shrug off the controversy of its food, even if it invents a whole new culinary culture.
