No one enjoys taking calls at work, but that doesn't mean you should offload those responsibilities on your coworkers. That's an easy recipe for making enemies on the job.
At this office, everyone has to take the occasional call from disgruntled customers, and in this instance, we don't have a situation where the customer was the problem for once. Instead, we have a coworker who always happens to be "unavailable" when it's her turn to pick up the phone. Her colleague, who shared this thread to Reddit's r/MaliciousCompliance subreddit, decided they had enough of picking up the phone and doing their coworker's job. So, they decided to maliciously comply and take a message for the customer but to ensure that this message was not only relayed to the coworker but also to management. That's what you get, ma'am.
