You know that feeling when you're thrown into something completely new and uncomfortable and you think about how and why you ended up there? That's pretty much the feeling new moms have every day of their life. Every hour is a new adventure and they're not sure what stunt their baby is going to pull next. Will it be explosive diarrhea, develop a new cough, decide they no longer want to bottle feed or cry unless you're holding them? It's a marathon, no denying that. 

Some of my new mom friends find the adjustment of motherhood really tough. It's not just the sleepless nights with their sweet bundle of joy, but truly the overwhelming feeling of the unknown. There's not exactly a new-mom manual that goes through all the stuff you should understand. Like any great new adventure, motherhood is a lot of trial and error. Don't put so much pressure on yourself, millions of moms out there are going through the same thing. You'll get the hang of it as soon as they are ready to leave for college.
