Posted by u/Mobile-Tooth Neighbour called bylaw on me for parking in front of my own home Good afternoon, Gene! I do believe you must know that Calling bylaw will only anger people, not solve your problems. then I thought that we had a decent, neighbourly relationship. However, you tried to have my (insured) vehicle towed from in front of my own home. You must

know that that's a $200 fine, + a tow + impound fee. If that had happened to you with a new child, I'm sure you wouldn't be too happy. You never asked me to move, at all. I live literally right next door. I hope in the future, you see that more flies are caught with honey and consider asking me in person. I can assure you, that's much quicker. - Neighbours

9149790 Which bylaw were you breaking? You were 2 inches over something? Why does she care, was it blocking something? Why would she have to ask you to move? 4.4k Reply Share Mobile-Tooth OP 6.1k ●●● She reported my insured and used vehicle as abandoned lol Reply Share

JustALizzyLife We had someone from our HOA call the county on us over a flat tire. It had been less than 24 hours, we were planning on replacing it the upcoming weekend after pay day. It was the front passenger side tire and the only way you could tell it was flat was if you came onto our property. So instead of ringing our doorbell or just minding their own business we get a letter from the county with a due date to get it fixed. I will never, ever, love in a hoa neighborhood again. 1.3k Shoudo

Effective-Treat-3648 Im curious how you knew it was that specific neighbor, and not the neighbor to the opposite side or even across? 156 Reply Share Mobile-Tooth OP It would make no sense to be anybody else and this "gene" has a history of calling bylaw on everybody lol 316 Reply Share

fuelhandler Sounds like it's time to chat with all your neighbours, and start taking turns calling for wellness checks at 11pm every couple days for Gene. Caring neighbours need to ensure the well being of their neighbour. I'd also look up your municipal bylaws and ensure Gene is in full compliance with all of them. Wouldn't want her to unknowingly be in noncompliance. Greetings from a fellow Canuck in Ontario Canada by the way.

Role-Fine I fought with my neighbors like this... I was.much more passive though... they would call code enforcement on me all the time for parking in front of my home 1st time I got a ticket, called the city and bitched and it was dropped but they said I needed permits (never provided when I purchased the place so they gave me some) 2nd time they said it was clear the car had not moved and that was in violation so I would go out and move it by about 1/2 an inch each week and then back the next

4th time the copy basically said she was tired of getting calls and I said that's not problem After this went on for quite a while the neighbor finally approached me and asked me if I would be willing to move it and so now it is in my garage Ask me to do something and I might I, try to force me to do it and you can right off Reply Share 163

Mobile-Tooth OP Idk where she expects me to move it anyway lol. If I park anywhere else, I'll get the "uh, park in front of your own house, ok?" notes. I could park in front of her house if she really wants me to move it lol Reply Share 102 NoOnSB277 You should. It will stay within the 72 hour period, or whatever it is for your neighborhood. Just move it back in between from your house and hers. If she complains, say, oh, I am afraid it will get ticketed because they won't think it has been move
