31 Long Term Relationship Memes for Couples Unashamed by Co-dependence (February 17, 2024)
Honeymoon phase, co-dependence, attached at the hip – call it whatever you like, but we all know what it is. We all have that one friend who can't leave the side of their partner, or maybe we've experienced this phenomenon first hand. We want to first take shame off this word or concept; there's nothing wrong with co-dependence, and in fact, is a healthy stage in any long lasting relationship. Loving your partner to the point that nothing else matters, to throw caution to the wind and surrender yourself is all part of being vulnerable. It's also adorable to see two people so into each other that the rest of the world just melts away. Anyone who says otherwise is either jealous or selling you something.
So even though it may have a negative connotation, co-dependence is healthy to an extent, and as long as you're healthy, happy, and fulfilled in the relationship then the rest is history.
