'Someone just sawed through our Internet cable': 20 major inconveniences that ruined people's weeks

It's easy to shrug off a minor inconvenience, especially if you have a self-deprecating sense of humor. But when it comes to the unforeseen circumstances that can ruin your whole day and maybe even your whole year, even the most patient and mature adult can go crazy. 

As someone who self-identifies as an impatient individual, I am not sure how I would stay calm and collected through some of these ridiculous debacles. We're talking about household items falling apart, pipes bursting, cars malfunctioning… I want to scream into a void just thinking about these major inconveniences happening to me. Thankfully, they did not, and perhaps I am not giving myself enough credit. 

After all, about two years ago, my apartment flooded due to my building being ancient while I was at the theater. I returned home and there were water bubbles in all the walls and the bathroom ceiling split open. Somehow, even in the midst of my shock and frustration, a calming zen came over me because there was literally nothing I could do besides bother my landlord until it was all fixed. So maybe I am the kind of person who handles an inconvenience well. Eh, I wouldn't go that far. Even putting that sentiment into writing just feels like asking for karma to rear its head.
