So, what happened? This man took to r/pettyrevenge to share the unfortunate series of events that led to his wife's phone number being stolen. First, he explained how they found out about it. It was when he had called her from work and it went to the voicemail of a different network provider. Huh, that was weird. What was going on? Shortly after that, the scammers started accessing… well, everything. Financial apps, credit cards, anything to do with money. The couple managed to lock things down but not before the scammers got to max out one credit card. It was absolutely infuriating, and the ordeal was long and awful, leaving a lasting effect on the wife. Her husband was so mad that he devised a clever plan to get back at them.
