‘You’re a grown woman, figure it out': Demanding guest blames hotel clerk for failing to book her room after she disappeared for days

If you want things to get done, 9 out of 10 times, you are going to have to do them yourself. Nobody else will do them for you. If you want to go on vacation, you have to be the one who books the flights, hotels, and attractions. If you are just waiting around for somebody else to do all the hard work for you then–guess what? you are probably not going to go on vacation.

I don't know what this customer thought in this Reddit story, but she is the perfect example of these kinds of people who do nothing and then blame other people for their incompetence. In this story, a night auditor for hotels got a call from a customer asking for a discount on a hotel room. Even after the clerk was able to find a discount rate for her, the customer ended up not booking the room and hanging up. Fast forward a few weeks and the customer calls back and asks for the room again but, surprise surprise, every single room is booked and the city is sold out. Safe to say the customer was not happy about it…
