"He lied in order to get me fired"
  • 02
Guest calls corporate because housekeepers wouldn't clean his room
  • 03
I work at a Brampton inn and at our hotel housekeeping is everyother day unless requested otherwise, if you do want it done, you have to request it the night before at least
  • 04
I had this one guest who was a very shiny member. But not quite extra shiny if you know what I mean. He had a back-to-back reservation. But we'll get back to that in a minute.
  • 05
At about 3:40 ish he called me complaining that his rooms had not been cleaned that day. Mind you, Our system will tell us which rooms had the sign on the door. As well as who simply said no to the housekeepers that day.
  • 06
It showed me that he had declined housekeeping, So I didn't have very much sympathy for him anyway. But going back to the back-to-back reservation. His problem was that he paid the
  • 07
deposit again and rechecked in so therefore his should be fully cleaned. I apologized but I told him it is too late For them to do a full service (The ladies leave at 4 and i
  • 08
wont force another room on them). But they will be happy to do his towels and trash and other small things, He got mad and asked me who he could complain to I told him that no one was
  • 09
available. But he could speak to the manager in the morning when checks out. He didn't like that idea. So he told me he would call corporate and all I said was "okay" And I
  • 10
thought that was the end of it, so I hung up. Corporate calls me and I explain the situation And I thought that'd be the end of it. A complaint was written about me, The guest said I cussed at him
  • 11
and I hung up on him. Not that I got any trouble. My managers didn't believe it.

measaqueen 1d ago It surprises me that so many people don't realize that when they make such extreme accusations any smart person will automatically dismiss the claim as I lie. Almost no worker will risk their career over cussing out a guest.

RoyallyOakie •1d ago Ridiculous. A person of this type has nothing else in mind but getting you fired. At a more poorly run establishment, they might accomplish their goal. That's really despicable.

Possible_Living • 1d ago Be sure to wake the CEO and have them personally call back the guest.
  • 15
The guest said and this is why Im happy all the calls are recorded. Im shy about my voice but recordings have saved the day far too often for me.

Zealousideal-Tax-496 • 1d ago This is why calls should be recorded. Because people liiiiiieee. They lie like cheap rug.

BOF basarita 1d ago Great way to go from the shiny list to the DNR list. That guy is a theat to each and every hotel employee out there, since he has absolutely no remorse whatsoever in lying thru his teeth to get some sort of vengeance for a perceived slight. DNR him ASAP

Desperate_Set_7708 • 1d ago And here I am wanting HK to not do anything with my room.

CleanCartographer798 1d ago Tell him to go to the mirror on the wall, there is the only person who cares about your nonsense, so complain away.

cas20011 • 15h ago I had a guest threaten to sue and called corporate bc his door lock dod for like 30 mins and he couldn't get into his room. People are so ridiculous

camlop 15h ago He declined housekeeping. Did he think the magical cleaning fairy was gonna transform his room into a clean, unsold one as soon as his consecutive reservation was checked in on the system?
