The hiring process is asinine these days. After 8 rounds of interviews, 4 different cover letters, and losing your will to live, the application to your dream job may still be lost in the trash bin of some flippant hiring manager. On top of that, companies are making it easier than ever to be fired. For those of us between jobs, it certainly requires our full-time attention to land a full-time position.

  • The woman in our next story found a way to clap back at the hiring manager of a company she was previously interested in. After enduring the hiring process of many similar companies, she found that there is a new trend for lazy interviewers where they ask applicants to create a video of a 'self-interview' to submit in addition to their job application.

    I'll admit that this isn't the cleverest revenge, nor is even all that original. And to be 100% upfront, I've only done it once, mostly as a joke. But as it turns out, it's actually kind of satisfying. And fun!

    It's difficult for them to answer these questions in a way that's useful and, in my opinion, they get criticized for perceived personality "quirks" that I firmly believe are just down to the weirdness of the format.
