Hand Cream Karen A popular cosmetics store is closing in my country. I went in yesterday after hearing of the closure to stock up on some hypoallergenic items, not knowing that they were already running their clear out sale making everything 75% off. To say the store was picked over was an understatment. It was near empty. I was lucky that they still had inventory on exactly what I wanted.
  • 02
When I got to the front of a very long queue a wild Karen appears. Cutting in front of the line that is no less than 10 deep, she demands that they look in the back for a rose scented hand cream she was unable to find on the sales floor.
  • 03
The woman at the counter assured her that all the inventory they had was out on the floor and that if she was unable to find the item, they were sold out. A normal person would accept that a store, with mostly empty shelves probably does not have the inventory to fill those shelves. Not a Karen. She understood, "We don't have it" to be the start of the conversation.
  • 04
The associated called out next, and as I approached the counter Karen held out her arm to block me and said, "I'm not done yet". Karen is insistant that they find her item and will not take no for an answer. She continues to badger the employee pulling out winning lines like, "It's the only item I can use", "You had it yesterday", "I have been a customer for years", "This is the third store I have been to", they employee with each statement re- itterates what you see is what we have. Still not s

At this point, I say to her, "Could you please step aside while you wait so the line can progress." This was met with her rudely telling me to "Mind my own business". I have done my time in retail and live for the moment when somebody pulls out an F bomb, and I am sure the associate having enough, was also happy to ask at this point that that she leave the store immediately for being rude to other customers.
  • 06
Unfortunately, a Karen only has one mode and that is escalate. I have now commited the cardinal sin of making a reasonable request of a Karen and have inadvertantly made myself a target too. She then turns back to me and yells "See what you have done?, I am just trying to get some help here. Now they are throwing me out because you couldn't keep your mouth shut. If this was somebody in trouble, you would probably mind your own business, but no, you have to be a because I am just trying to get so
  • 07
A few of the customers in line join in calling her a Karen and noting she was in fact the one who was unable to keep her mouth shut. This only emboldened her to champion for her right to rose scented hand cream. She then begins to berate every customer who dared question her approach to the situation. Everybody is a , everybody needed to shut up. We just didn't understand customer service.
  • 08
Finally the manager appears, with the full bin of reamining hand cream. They had no less than 5 other varieties, just no rose. The manager is offering alternative from what limited stock they had in a futile attempt to de-escalate. However Karens don't understand de- escalation. Now Karen is already shaking made over $3 hand cream, and proceeds call the manager stupid for not understanding rose, and then helpfully spells out R-O-S-E.
  • 09
The manager again says,. "We are out of stock." Noting she has offered alternatives, and if none are suitable there is no further assistance they can provide. She tucks the bin under the counter and then says to Karen "if there is nothing else we can help you with today, you need to leave before we are forced to make you leave".
  • 10
Finally accepting defeat, Karen leaves, not before knocking several products off a display table on her way out. I use thier hand cream, it's pretty good. I prefer the vanilla scent as the rose smells almost as as Karens attitude.

Karen called the cops on me at my house Someone at TIFU said this belongs here- Ok buckle up. I have a neighbor who owns the place behind mine on a private drive. A couple months ago she threw a Halloween party and had family members driving off-road vehicles all night in circles for a haunted trail. Part of it came onto my property near my house and was keeping me awake. So I walked out in my pajama pants and kindly asked the guy driving to stay on their side of the line. He stopped, it was all
  • 12
A few weeks later I got a packaged accidentally delivered to my house meant for the neighbor. It was one of those soft Amazon packages, definitely nothing breakable, like slippers or maybe a coat. So I went to that neighbors house and tossed it towards her door.
  • 13
Apparently after this she called my work, demanded to talk to my boss, and demanded I be reprimanded. She said I confronted her cousin and yelled at him to stop riding his ORV, and I callously threw her package at her house. Clear exaggerations of what happened. My boss explained that my work has nothing to do with a dispute between neighbors, she still wanted him to "talk" to me about it. My boss called me into his office and told me what happened. It was so embarrassing. Plus I work for a nota

Fast forward 4 months to today. I got home from work to find packages on my deck. I brought them inside and discovered one addressed to the neighbor. Yay. I decided to go for my evening walk as planned and figured I'd try to be the bigger man and return the package when I got back. The temptation to be petty was immense admittedly.
  • 15
When I came back from my walk I found the neighbor and her older daughter on my deck. She asked me if I had a package. I went inside and grabbed it and handed it to her. I told her I did not appreciate what she did by calling my boss and lying about the details. Well that went about as well as you'd think. She accused me of stealing her package and told me it's a federal offense to mess with her mail! I told her I had planned to give her the package but she was stuck on how it was inside my hous
  • 16
Then I heard her yelling at me again. She turned around and started screaming about how I took her mail. I turned away from my door and told her to leave and that she was trespassing. She wouldn't leave! I told her at least 10 times to just go. She kept yelling about calling my boss and telling me she had cameras. Well so do I. I pointed at them and she finally left.
  • 17
And then the cops showed up. She is the main reason I put up cameras because of other stunts she's pulled and thank God I got them. I showed the fuzz the footage and they laughed. I guess she reported that I stole her package and threatened her. I showed the cops the video of the UPS guy dropping off the package, me bringing the package inside without looking at it. Now she's been officially trespassed and can't come onto my property anymore.
  • 18
But wait, there's more. She called my boss and told him the same lies she told the cops. I sent him the video and he said he understands. Still a garbage situation to deal with. How do you all deal with neighbors from ? TLDR- Neighbor accused me of stealing her package, came to my house and yelled at me, called the cops, and is trying to convince my boss to fire me. I swear to God I've never done anything to this woman and I have no idea why she's been hostile since I moved here.

UPDATE- Met with attorney. Going to let things marinate for a bit. Yesterday was the only in person negative interaction we've had and I'm still putting together the other stuff she has done before (Facebook posts etc.) Also found out this woman had a kid with a married man expecting to ensnare him into a relationship. He decided he'd rather stay with his wife. A few years later she doubled down, tried AGAIN, and had another kid with the same guy. He still stayed with the wife. So now she lives

Karen Tries to Make Her Hair My Problem I work as security at small tourist attraction. On a busy weekend day, we can see about 500 guests on a day. Access to the property and building are strictly controlled to manage the flow of guests. If you're not a paying customer you can't sit around on our property. It was pouring rain and we have covered awnings for our guests waiting outside. If you don't have a reservation and haven't checked in with security you can't be standing under the awning.
  • 21
A middle aged woman came rushing past our gate, blew past me as I attempted to speak to her and went to stand under the awning. I catch up to her and ask her if she has a reservation. She tells me she's waiting for her Uber. I advise her we have a dedicated pick up location on the other side of the property. She holds up her phone and insists her Uber is coming to her location because she has our business listed as the pick up address.
  • 22
Thinking she's a guest who exited, Uber pick up is next to the exit, I advise her again she'll have to go to the back. And she can't get there while under the awning as the the flow of guests is going the other direction. She then snaps at me "I JUST HAD MY HAIR DONE!" So I inquire again if she's a guest, because I have no idea how she could have just gotten her hair done.
  • 23
She tells at me she just left the salon. Which I have no idea how her Uber app had our business as the pick up location as there are no hair salons near my work that I know of. I even double checked on Google Maps before making this post to make sure of that. So if she came from a salon it's not a legit one with any obvious store front. I looked at her phone again and pointed at the map "See, the pick up location is on the other side." Her dot and the dot for the pick up spot are clearly in two
  • 24
Anyways, I advise her again the only way to get there, because she's not a paying customer entering our actual business, is to go back out onto the street and around the back. She begins to rage again about her hair. At this point my boss, whom I love, takes notice. As he walks over she notices me looking at him, so she turns to focus her rage on him. The front of our property is fairly small so I know he heard our entire interaction up to this point. "I JUST HAD MY HAIR DONE AND HE WONT LET ME
  • 25
My boss quickly verifies with her she's not a guest and simply says "Ma'am, you're trespassing on private property and if you refuse to leave I am more than happy to call the police. They can provide you a ride and get you out of the rain." My boss is awesome!!! With her face red as a cherry she stormed off, never to be seen again. Her hair was nothing special either.

*Edit 2 Because People Seem To Not Be Able To Read: It was not physically possible to allow her to wait in that spot for her Uber. Rain or not, we do not allow Ubers to pick people up from that location because it is too small and dangerous. There is no room for them to turn around, and when we've had Ubers ignore us and try to pick people up there in the past it has resulted in them hitting our fence and even one of our guests on a previous occasion. Every single person who approached from that

Karen wants me to control the behavior of customers I work at a large storage facility. We provide carts for customers to move their goods as a courtesy and keep them evenly distributed between the two entrances to the building. They are available on a first come first serve basis.
  • 30
As I was doing my daily facility inspection I got a call from my coworker in the office asking me to come speak to a customer because they had an angry confrontation with another customer. My immediate reaction was "so what?" Mediating disputes between customers is not in my job description.
  • 31
Regardless, I took the elevator down to the back entrance where the argument occurred and talked to the customer back there. She explained they were using all of the carts to transfer goods between their new unit and their old unit, and when another customer had asked for one they currently had goods on, she had let them know that more carts were in the front of the facility. This triggered the person asking to start screaming, the phrase "why should I have to" featuring prominently in the story
  • 32
I get to the office and ask the Karens what happened and immediately recognize the husband as someone that has thrown a tantrum over there not being a cart available for him immediately when he arrived a few months ago. They share their side of the story, which also features the words "why should I have to" and the same events, but casting my other customer and her husband as dangerous and psychotic potential murders.

Male karen repeatedly states he will do whatever he has to do to protect his wife. I let him know if anyone does violence on the property they will be evicted and reported to the police. He keeps saying that it's my responsibility as the facility manager to “control my customers" and that if something happened to them I would be the one at fault. I disagreed with him strenuously, stating that I can't control anyone and am not responsible for the behavior of my customers. They left in a huff, say
