The employee in our next story was able to dodge a tantrum-throwing bullet when they decided to quit a toxic job. Under the thumb of an emotionally stunted boss, u/Stopcomplainingabout had finally had enough and quit without notice. Weeks later, when the boss finally took notice that one of their employees was missing, the ex-employee received a particularly scathing email that stooped far below professional standards.

There are ample learning opportunities when you're thrown into a leadership role. Some people rise to the occasion, but others–like those nepo-baby bosses we've seen too often–never actually learned their way up the ladder. Because they skipped a step in the hierarchy climb, boss babies most likely also missed those crucial learning moments, making them the most petulant pot-stirrers in the office, despite their fancy wooden desks.

Weirdly enough, absolute power can turn bosses into childish, unhinged canisters of tyranny.
