'God bless her now cleared nasal passages': Brits react to American chef trying English mustard

For all the controversies surrounding traditional British cuisine, there is usually one thing that most can agree on: it's not a place where you will find a lot of spice. This is a slight misconception. While it's true that you aren't going to find a chili kick in fish and chips, there are certain condiments that may surprise the crowd who think that Brits season with water.

One of the prime examples of this is English mustard, which is a different beast from its milder US cousin. Most people would think twice about heaping it all over a hotdog, as one American recently found out. Trying English mustard for the first time in a TikTok, she made an impressive misjudgment about how much she would need to spread on her ham sandwich. Credit where credit's due, she took the consequences in her stride and commended the pungent condiment and its aftereffects.
