Welcome back female heroes of the internet. In a world of inundating social media, there comes a cost to our self-esteem and perspectives on looks, and that cost can be revealed in our most vulnerable crevices. Scrolling through beautiful, young, Instagram models that don't resemble 99% of women isn't the best for our mental and emotional health. As women, it's important to be confident in our bodies and aesthetics, regardless of if it matches that of a skinny 18 year old that's dedicated her life to looking beautiful. This, we can at least understand and forgive ourselves for. But when men get involved and start smearing their wild expectations on us, things can get ugly. 

It's never nice to hold standards for your loved one or partner based on a model you saw online. We are in competition and comparison with no one but ourselves, and if a man doesn't see our natural beauty for the woman he chose to be with, then that's his immaturity and not something you need to deal with.
