You've got to love Venn Diagrams: They're one of the most straightforward charts to figure out when you're in school. I distinctly remember painstakingly writing the differences between the Union and the Confederacy in one of my AP US History workbook's many Venn Diagrams. Every part of American History in that class was broken down into what the two sides had in common and what was different about them. I studied those Venn diagrams like a madman, and I ended up passing the AP test with flying colors…go figure!
I love Venn Diagrams because they're simple: You don't have to bother with any wacky X or Y axis or any pointless bars. Your data isn't getting sliced into a pie.
