Hey there, cool cats. For those not yet acquainted, allow us to introduce you to the 'not my cat' phenomenon. It goes a little something like this. Have you ever come across a cat who was definitely and totally not yours? Perhaps they were in close quarters, even somehow appearing in your bathroom while you were busy taking care of business. Perhaps they slipped into your home through the cat door you had meant to close years ago but promptly abandoned. It happens more frequently than one would think! The humans behind the posts we are sharing today were delighted to welcome unexpected feline guests into their space, their cars, their porches, and even their beds. Now that's what we love about cat people. Enjoy this purrfectly silly collection of 'not my cat' moments in which humans were blessed with an unexpected feline guest.
"Some new folks moved in a few months ago. I haven't officially met them yet but their cat has become a mainstay on the porch. His name is Hashbrown and he's an absolute sweetheart. My cats aren't as thrilled as I am "
A true gentleman if we do say so ourselves.
We love a big stretch.
"As fussy as a husky, this little dude is stubborn and belligerent, but I still love him to death! Always makes me happy when he comes around, even if it is tough to get rid of him!"
"These are old pics of my dog Trinket and her best friend Opal. I lived in a duplex and Opal was the cat of the folks in the connecting house. Opal was an inside/outside cat."
"Opal met Trinket on her first walks. Opal would hide and jump out and tag Trinket and they would chase each other. Eventually, Opal started to sneak inside my house to hang out with Trinket (and I told the neighbors about it, and got their approval)."
"This cat was not interested in me, but Trinket loved her so much. She'd even make room so Opal could share her food. Opal's people moved and we lost touch, but I'll always cherish their friendship."
"Hubby and I were able to catch her in the garage. She really likes to hide so it was a bit of a challenge locating her. We saw a Facebook post of someone looking for their cat that looked similar to her, but it turns out to not be theirs.
Tomorrow, she goes to the vet to see if she is chipped and if she isn't, then it's time to find her a new home. We've got two cats already and a third is just too much for us.
She's such a sweet, sweet girl and loves a good rub down. I'm glad we found her since it's been so cold here and we just got pelted with 8 inches of snow the last three days with sleeting rain in between. At least she is warm for the night."
"Came home from work to a Winnie the Pooh situation. Did I try to pull it out? Yes. Was I successful? No. Was it actually stuck? No."
