I'm always amazed when somebody has never had a bad therapist. You can always tell who they are because they talk about therapy as if it is a miraculous cure to any problem or social ill that you harbor. I'm sure many of us have heard some well-meaning person talking about how people who don't go to therapy are refusing to address their issues and won't be able to heal, but I disagree with that. There are a lot of people who have had such a bad experience with therapy (a treatment that demands an absurd amount of vulnerability from patients) that they find it difficult to trust other therapists. I wouldn't be surprised if the subject of this Facebook post becomes one of those patients. His therapist took to Facebook to complain about how he was boring her, so she started texting in the middle of his session. He could tell she wasn't paying attention and stormed out. Now, she expects him to apologize to her.
