Nanny shares the wildest job offers she's received from parents: 'That's $4.50 an hour per family... no thank you!'

Being a nanny can be a rewarding job, but as with any job, there are always some wild offers that come your way. This nanny in particular has had her fair share of crazy job offers she's received from parents, and they are sure to leave you scratching your head.

One offer she received was from a family who wanted her to work 60 hours a week for $30k/year, and another family that tried to lower her rate from $22/hour to $4.50/hour. And the best one yet: a family offered to pay her zero dollars. But she could live in the basement and use their lovely home gym, which consisted of a rack of dumbbells and a rowing machine. Needless to say, she turned down those generous offers.

Being a nanny can be a great job, but it's important to remember that your time and energy are valuable. It's a legitimate job, so you shouldn't be guilted into accepting less money than what your services are worth. Kids are hard! Just remember that there are plenty of other families out there who will appreciate and compensate you appropriately. But in the meantime, let's have a good laugh at these ridiculous offers.

    Omg. That's less than what my rent costed that year... Hello. Looking for a nanny with experience with infants. Our budget is about $150-175/week for 40 hours weekly. We value flexibilitty!     Not the admitting in writing they exploited their nanny when she should've been receiving $130 a week for her gas... omg... Hey Sophia, you seemed like a great fit for us before I saw You charge for mileage? (Saw that on your post). I'm shocked. My last nanny carpooled our kids to school for drop off and pickups then to sports and appointments and we never paid for gas. It would probably equate to about 200 miles a week.
