I have no idea what to feed them, how warm they should be kept or anything really. I moved them to a clean empty kitty litter box and put an old scarf with some tissue paper. I'm sorry if my writing seems a little erratic but I'm lowkey highkey panicking rn

Frozefoots 20 hr. ago · edited 19 hr. ago These are borderline neonatal babies. Time is of the essence. Look on Facebook for adoption/foster groups that might be in your area. Call around to any humane groups there might be in your area. Vet clinics might be partnered up with foster groups, call them and ask. Last resort could be a pound, these might have nursing mama cats that could take these babies on. Explain your situation.

They need to be kept warm by an external source because they can't regulate their body temperature when this little. Even if all you have is yourself - it'll do. Cuddle those babies. Hot water bottle covered in blankets to give some heat without hurting them. Anything.

They need to be fed every hour with appropriate food - kitten formula. Do not give them cows milk. Get them through the night and look for anyone who can take them.

eastcoastcherrycoke OP 5 hr. ago I took them to the vet and it turns out that they were likely born yesterday. The doctor told us that there isn't much we can do besides look for a foster cat mom on Facebook (he even gave us some recommendations on certain groups). So I joined every single one and made a post about them on each. Fingers crossed someone responds.

Health wise, the babies seem completely healthy without any visible birth defects that would prevent them from feeding which is a huge relief. I've been feeding them every two hours with the formula the vet gave us, massaging them so they urinate and keeping them warm by putting a bottle of warm water under their blankets. And so far, it seems like they're doing well.

But just looking at them breaks my heart. I really hope they are feeling as good as possible, given the fact that they're separated from their mom. I can't wait to see them all grown up with each of their unique personalities fully formed. They're my little warriors and I can already feel myself getting extremely attached. Not to get sappy or anything but I love these little guys so much.

Accomplished_ways777 19 hr. ago what humans do to animals... the poor mother cat must be incredibly distressed right now, without her babies.. some humans are pure evil.

Maleficent_Role8932 20 hr. ago Or find an other pregnant cat mum who had delivered recently and try to get her to adopt them

ReverieXII 19 hr. ago • The advices on here are great. But also monitor & help regulate their body temperature because they're too young to do it themselves. Kittens of this age are extremely sensitive & difficult to take care of without their mother. ♥

    • cheesemangee 13 hr. ago These babies are barely a couple days old, so here's the shtick plain and simple, sport: (1): they need to be in constant contact with a warm surface, like a heating pad, and the room needs to have an ambient temperature of ~80 degrees F. This is VITAL as kittens cannot regulate their own body temperature until they are several weeks old. Cold can and will kill a kitten.
  • 17
(1.5): make sure the space you put them in is clean and sanitized with cat-safe materials. Kittens have horribly weak immune systems and your own home can kill them.
  • 18
(2): they need to be fed kitten formula every 2-3 hours. Make sure they are eating the correct amount of food each meal and completing the entire meal. Buy the best you can buy, because their teeny little bellies are sensitive to new things at this age.
  • 19
(3): they need to be weighed every 12 hours to monitor their growth. Baby kittens should be gaining permanent weight every single 24 hour period. Where you can get formula depends entirely on where you are regionally - call a vet, they can help.
  • 20
(BONUS): baby cats thrive when they think mom is nearby. A stuffed animal with a false heartbeat device works great for maximizing the babies comfort levels (which helps them sleep, digest, fight disease, ect, ect). The best-case scenario for these babies would be finding a foster momma that would adopt them. Having a momma cat is so so important for baby kittens for a number of reasons, and at the end of the day they are better parents to them than we can be.
