I was flying last week and got up to use the bathroom, and the girl behind me is giving me a death glare. I didn't think anything of it and used the bathroom. I get back, and this girl angrily explains to me that she is trying to sleep on the tray, which is connected to my seat, and that I'm shaking the seat.

I assured her that I was not shaking the seat, that I was merely using it, and that sometimes the seat will move, such as when I get up to use the bathroom, lean down to get something, or adjust my posture. She was not having it, insistent that I was being so using my chair which she was apparently claiming was now her pillow.

She called for a flight attendant and angrily explained the situation. The flight attendant responded, "Ma'am, what do you want me to do? Ask him not to use his chair? He's allowed to use his chair." Unbelievable! I wasn't even reclining!

eatshitake Oh, I would have reclined my seat for the rest of the flight!
  • 07
Repulsive Dig9091. Well you gave her an inch by not reclining so she was claiming her Karen mile.

[deleted] ⚫ If you try to use a tray table as a pillow, you're gonna have a bad time.

r3d0c3ht You guys to don't know how to play this game. I would have apologized (after the flight attendant has explained her that she's wrong) and tell her that she can sleep in peace as I won't move. Even recline the chair a little so she has a better position. Then proceed to stay still for like 10 minutes, until I'm sure she's asleep, and then give the chair a good shake and straighten it up hoping she'll bang her head against it :).

[deleted] ⚫ The other thing you can do is turn the little ac on full blast and aim it so it blows cold air directly on her head. Works when someone reclines on you too!

[deleted]. I would have reclined the d seat. She probably would have complained about that too, but hey - if it reclines I am going to recline. Just the way it is.

[deleted] ⚫ She needs to book herself in first class where she "deserves to be" and not fly with all the mere mortals in economy. I am sure this would confuse the out of her...

247cnt I feel so bad for flight attendants. They should be allowed to slap one* passenger a day of their choosing.

RickestRickSea137 i ask again why do people misbehave so much on flights sigh
  • 15
Saraakate2003. Time to recline ALL the way back in her lap!!

Aggravating-Alarm-16 So they were sleeping with their head on their desk, like in primary school?

Known-Salamander9111 · I'd be practicing twerking for the duration of that flight. #pettylife
