For many parents, that trusty babysitter is often a teenager who is looking for a way to make some money, and watching kids while they usually sleep seems like an easy way to do so.
But it is crucial to remember that those babysitters are kids as well, and there are limits to what you can expect from them. The father in this Reddit story, for example, needed that reminder after the story he shared on Reddit. The father (OP, original poster) and his wife often work at night, so they have a 16-year-old babysitter who comes to watch their kids. One night, the babysitter fell asleep and failed to hear the baby crying and OP was not happy about the situation. He decided to do something about it but was met with a lot of criticism for it, both from his wife and strangers on the internet.
