Marvel Rivals Mid-Season Update Brings Ultron, New Team-Ups, and an RTS Mode Because… Sure, Why Not

New Hero: Ultron

Ultron joins the roster with healing drones, energy beams, and a unique shooting style that devs claim will “bring a whole new experience” to the game. Early previews show flight abilities, deployable shields, and a team-up with Iron Man that adds a piercing, healing beam. I still don't think ultron has ever actually healed anyone in the comics but I will let it slide.

This is Ultron’s stronghold - a sister island to Krakoa - and it’ll be added to competitive and quick play rotations.

Six New Team-Ups

Ultron & Iron Man – Damage and healing beam.

Venom & Jeff – Symbiote healing over time.

Jeff & Nato – Combo-based sustained damage.

Rocket & Penny Parker – Webbed mines and armor-spitting spider nests.

Luna & Hawkeye – Frozen arrows that hit harder at range and can freeze enemies.

Punisher & Black Widow – Bonus health and piercing tactical damage.

Brand-New Game Mode: Auto-Battler

It's a strategy game! Yes, really. Think Teamfight Tactics meets Marvel Rivals. You pick six heroes, place them strategically, and they duke it out against other players. Expect buffs, cards, and lots of stats. It’s wild. It’s temporary. And it might just become permanent if enough people like it.

Miscellaneous Stuff

Lord icons now show on the hero select screen.

New mood emojis you can use in-game and during loading (aka troll fuel).

Quality of life updates across UI and personalization features.

It’s a lot, and whether you’re into competitive metas or just here to watch Jeff chew on things, there’s something in this patch for everyone. (Except Spider-Man. He’s taking a bit of a nerf nap.)
