Shelter Volunteers Cry Tears of Joy as Adorable Orange Cat, Who Stayed in the Shelter for Nearly 10 Years, Gets Adopted and Finally Goes to His Furrever Home

Happy Friday, fellow feline aficionados! We post a lot of wholesome stories about cats getting adopted, but none quite like this one. Cats go into shelters for all sorts of various reasons, maybe their previous owners left them behind, maybe they were taken in off the streets, or in this case, they just couldn't find someone to pick them to live in their furrever home. This absolutely adorable orange cat, "Carrot", was in an accident when he was only six months old, leaving him partially paralyzed.

Carrot stayed in the shelter for nine and a half years. Nine and a half! That's a long time to spend in an animal shelter. But one day, Carrot's furrever family came along, chose him, learned to deal with his special needs, and now they're all living happily ever after.
