When you're in high school, it's hard to imagine that these incredibly close bonds you've made with people might eventually fade. The world seems so big, and in the face of it all, it's natural to want to hold on to your friends tightly. Our protagonist today came to the realization that her friends did not truly value her beyond her capabilities as a sugar momma. Despite her own struggles growing up, they saw her current success as an excuse to manipulate her for the sake of another friend in the group, who constantly begs for favors on account of her own difficult childhood.
