New mom forbids in-laws from seeing her child after their inappropriate delivery room behavior: 'I don't trust them'

As one commenter aptly put it, "Giving birth is not a spectator sport." It's a special moment, sure, but it's also a highly medical one. Lots of things can go wrong at worst, and at best, it's excruciatingly painful. Most people don't like sharing their deepest and difficult moments with folks they're not the closest to. Even if those people are technically family. When I'm ailing, I don't want anyone to see me except maybe my mother or my closest friend. Certainly not my extended family. You're allowed to have boundaries. 

None of us are 19th-century French queens who are forced to have the entire royal court around her as she gives birth to the new heir to the throne. Thankfully we got rid of those rituals a while ago. But one new mom found herself in a tough situation where her delivery room became more like a family reunion. Read on for the outrageous story.
