Woman ditches a guy after their first date because he lied about his career to hide his wealth: ‘He just wanted to ’test' me'
First dates are awkward, nerve-racking, and downright weird sometimes. Meeting up to eat food with a total stranger can start to feel a lot like a job interview after you've asked 10 rounds of questions regarding their family, interests, and career history, so why can't single people catch a break and weed out the right guy before sitting down for a 3-course meal?
The woman in our next story was actually excited about her first date with a new guy until she found out some unsettling information about him. After a lovely appetizer and a drink or two at a nice restaurant, she was starting to get butterflies in her stomach and making mind-movies over their future together. He was handsome, charming, and seemed like he was funny. So what was the catch? Well, apparently he was carrying around some extra baggage from his last few relationships.
After she showed a keen interest in his career in carpentry, the guy painted himself in a corner and was forced to admit he actually didn't know anything about woodworking–he was just lying about his career to see if she'd pass the 'gold-digger' test. He may be tired of women dating him for his money, but this new gal was certainly not interested in what he had to offer after catching him in a lie.
