'Looking for a nanny to move in [and] pay rent': Top Choosing Beggars of the Week (July 17, 2024)

Everyone has at least one person in their lives who demands way too much and offers next to nothing in return. What remains a mystery when it comes to these unicorn individuals is where on earth their audacity lies. Seriously, if there is one thing we can learn from these folks, it's the shocking confidence to ask for (nay, demand) services they simply do not deserve. For instance, one of these folks had no shame posting on Facebook for a live-in nanny who would ostensibly cook, clean, take care of the kids, and pay literal rent on top of it all.

The only way to deal with choosing beggars, as these Redditors did, is to call out their behavior, to spell out for them why their demands are ludicrous, and to hope that something will get through to them before they make their next outlandish request.     Hi y'all! I am looking for a live in nanny. I have a huge room to rent with its own private bathroom for $600 per month plus utilities and nanny duties.     Are you looking to rent out or a nanny? 11m Like Reply rite a reply... 10 So not only do they want you to pay for the rent and utilities but they want you to work for free no..... usually it's the complete opposite with a live in nanny.... you're paying the nanny as well as housing and feeding them... So you expect this person to work for you full time and pay you and they will have to work another full time job so that they can pay you and work for you for free......are you nuts...????? 2h Like

    It doesn't say time. It says hanging out with the kid for an hour or 2 each day. Cooking dinner twice a week, picking him up from school once or twice a week, And helping keep the house clean.     For context she wants someone full time Monday- Friday 0930-1730 Looking for immediate full-time child care for 4-year-old girl. We just moved here from Iowa. I have my VPK voucher but I need affordable. Let me stress affordable..... AFFORDABLE Child care. There is a child care facility here in The Meadows....     Most of the comments were telling her it was a good deal or offering suggestions of where to look. She also posted a picture of her child that I cropped out. To get someone to take minimum wage for these hours she would be around $480 a week, and with the cost of living here to qualify to rent an apartment you would need to make around $2000 a week. Renting a room here is upwards of $1000 a month normally.
