There's something so satisfying about scratching an itch. You have a problem; you glide your fingernails against said problem, and now the problem is solved. Sure, it might not always solve the root issue (athlete's foot, anyone?), but it makes you feel better, and you deserve to feel better than you do when you're straight-up itchy! I feel this way about picking a giant booger out of my nose. I'm sorry, but if you claim to always blow your nose for every single piece of crystalized snot that lives in your nasal canal, you're a dirty liar. If God didn't want us to pick our noses in the comfort of our own homes, why do we have such skinny fingers? 

I did not mean for this to turn into a pro-picking-your-nose manifesto. Your fingers can do a lot for you, like scrolling through a compelling list of funny memes that have very little to do with bodily functions.
