Entitled parents invite themselves over then throw a tantrum when their adult daughter has other plans: ‘[Dad] thinks he's in control at someone else’s home’

We all get a little peeved at our parents sometimes. Whether it's simply a generational misunderstanding or they're genuinely bothersome, parents have a special way of tickling our 'annoyance bone'… especially when it comes to surprise visits. Although a plate of chocolate chip cookies at your front door will never be denied, having Mom and Dad just pop up out of the blue can be a little jarring–and not every parent shows up with cookies. So even if you have the perfect relationship with your parents, if they randomly show up at your doorstep, they'll probably forget how to relinquish control as your 'parental' figure.

Remember, Dad, 'My house, my rules'.

When parents come to town, they've got to remember that their kids are adults now and no longer need the un-gentle parenting of yore. The parents in this next story certainly didn't show up to their daughter's doorstep with freshly baked goods and an inviting smile, they came with a series of demands, prompting the creation of a new rulebook in the house of their adult daughter.
