When you're in a long-term relationship with someone, would you choose to combine your finances? It's a practice that our grandparents and maybe parents did, but is it really necessary? Diving up those expenses can be difficult, especially if you decide to split up. But it can make sense if you decide to pay for everything together. Rent, bills, dates, etc., it makes sense to split those things 50/50 if you're in it for the long haul. But this entitled boyfriend was definitely trying to take advantage of the situation.
