Woman Blocks Fiancé After Finding Out He Cheated, Her Parents Insist That She Forgive Him: ‘I thought I raised a more compassionate daughter’

Welcome back internet enthusiasts. If there's one thing everyone should be able to rely on, it's their parents. Parents should be there for their children through thick and thin; balancing compassion and empathy, with life lessons to instill. Without a parent's guidance, it's nearly impossible to navigate the world of relationships, or anything else for that matter. When you don't get the empathy and support you need from your family, it can cause some unhealthy coping mechanisms, attachment styles, and choices in partners. 

This brings us to the Reddit thread. It's about a woman who finds out the love of her life has been cheating on her; she takes the high road and decides to pack her stuff and make a clear cut while her fiancé is on his week long business trip. Basically he's blocked before he even comes back home. Through her already tumultuous revelation and healing from it, her parents insist that she talk to him and forgive him. Pretty wild to hear your own parents take the side of someone who broke your heart, but some parents really aren't there for their kids.
