Boomers never know when to keep their volume low and respect people who are younger than them. There's a bitter sense of superiority in every baby boomer, hence why the famous “ok boomer” phrase was created. People from younger generations are over having to hear boomers complain about how life isn't fair, how they should be fed grapes on a silver platter, and that they are the reincarnation of the Lord. Some of that is hyperbole. but you get what I mean. The entitlement is transparent, but every day, more and more people are calling them out on their load of nonsense. The man in this story falters simply because he doesn't want to hear the boomer talk anymore, but the boomer ends up getting the karma he so rightfully deserves.
The OP is a Gen X truck driver who is driving to a distributor to drop off some pallets. He gets there bright and early because the distributor is infamous for unloading at a slow pace, so a line builds up quite quickly. When he gets in, he goes to drop off the necessary paperwork and waits, first in line, to be unloaded. A ‘boomer truckie’ insists that the Gen Xer's spot is rightfully his, as he was waiting near the distributor first and couldn't get ahead of the Gen Xer quickly enough. The Gen Xer keeps telling him he won't switch their spots in line but ends up doing so because the boomer is going into meltdown mode and won't stop yapping. The result is quite karmic.
