If you've ever daydreamed about quitting your terrible job, consider this your sign to find a happier career path.
There are a few different ways one can quit a job. The proper, respectable way is to write out a professional letter stating that this is your two-week notice. But the folks replying to this r/AskReddit thread couldn't stand to work at their awful jobs for another moment. They took the less professional but way more satisfying route of rage-quitting right on the spot.
As you can read in some of the wild stories below, there were all kinds of reasons that people were pushed to the breaking point. For some people, being bossed around by their impolite managers was taking such a toll on their mental health that they couldn't fathom staying another second. There were some people who worked in food service found that their managers were super inflexible. For example, one sous chef discovered that his higher-up wouldn't let them order any new food until they were completely out of that item. So when they ran out of eggs on a crowded morning, what's a chef to do? Either put up with it or quit!
After that, these poor travelers just could not catch a break, like one person who spent 5+ hours "locked out of my hotel in 110°+ Florence heat." Non va bene!
