They teach you in school that you shouldn't rudely point out other people's mistakes. They tell you that it's not nice to point fingers, that you should have patience with others, and not to laugh at the failings of another. That's all well and good, but there's a line with this. For example, if my fly is down or I accidentally smudged pen ink across my face, I would hope that someone would point it out. Yes, these were mistakes on my end, but we need to care for each other by gently reminding them of things they could easily change. On the other end of the spectrum are people on the internet. People on the internet will roast you for things you never even realized about yourself. They will invent new insecurities and give them to you.
But this is the wholesome kind of finger-pointing because no one gets hurt and we all get to laugh. Not often we get to do that…
